In the tranquil neighborhood of Scottdale, Georgia, a basketball phenom was born. Terrence Edwards Jr., standing at an impressive 6-foot-6 and weighing 190 pounds, has emerged as a standout talent in the world of college basketball, captivating audiences with his electrifying skills on the court. But his journey to stardom traces back to his roots in Scottdale, where his passion for the game was first ignited.
Terrence's ascent to basketball greatness began long before he donned the jersey of James Madison University (JMU). As a senior at Tucker High School in Georgia, he left an indelible mark on the local basketball scene. Named Second Team All-AAAAAA in Georgia, Terrence played a pivotal role in leading Tucker to back-to-back regional championships. In a regional semifinal showdown, he showcased his scoring prowess by racking up an impressive 33 points in a thrilling 60-52 victory.

But Terrence's journey was just getting started. With his sights set on the collegiate level, he brought his talents to JMU, a university with a rich athletic history. Madison, as it's affectionately known, made the leap from NCAA Division III to NCAA Division I-AA in 1980, marking a significant milestone in its athletic evolution. The university would later join what is now the Colonial Athletic Association's football conference in 1993, back when it was an independent entity known as the Yankee Conference.
At JMU, Terrence wasted no time making an impact. Named to the Oscar Robertson Trophy and All-America Watch List by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association, Terrence has been instrumental in JMU's outstanding 26-3 record this season.

He has scored in double figures in 26 games and notched nine games with 20 or more points, showcasing his ability to rise to the occasion when his team needs him most.
Terrence's impact extends far beyond his individual statistics. He has been a catalyst for JMU's success in conference play, earning accolades such as the Sun Belt Sixth Man of the Year and a spot on the Second Team All-Sun Belt. His contributions, including a memorable 27-point, 12-rebound performance in the SBC quarterfinals against Troy, have propelled JMU to new heights on the court.
